  1. Hello group, I recently picked up a pair of 1978 Heresy One speakers (in original and fine condition) I plan to use them with my Marantz 2250b Receiver, my FONS CQ30 turntable with Shure SME tonearm/V15-Type III cartridge, and Akai GXC-750D cassette deck. I have also made up my own 8 foot speaker cables out of 12 gauge multi-strand copper wire. The questions I have are these: 1. What advantage is there in replacing the original can capacitors in the Heresy One cabinets?; 2. Will I notice a considerable change in volume/tone in the mids and highs or in overall frequency response if I do change them to more modern caps?; 3. What are the best replacement capacitors available for said job? Any other advice would be most appreciated. I once owned a pair of LaScala cabinets back in the early 1980's, I loved them, and ran a Marantz 2215b through them. I lost all that gear in the mid-80's unfortunately. I can't wait to hear what this new (old) system that I have now collected will sound like! Thanks in advance, I am glad to be a part of this forum. shooze
  2. OK, thanks all… yes, I see that now, it is an "S" making them a 1978 date code - and I am now assuming a HERESY version #1 Is there an advantage to this version over the others? Thanks again! P.S. how do I post a picture on here?
  3. Hello, I am new to the forum and have a question regarding a pair of Heresy speakers. They have serial numbers 715386 and 715387 written on the back paper label. I can't find any date information on these speakers, or anywhere on the internet. The Klipsch serial numbering system is confusing to me. When were they manufactured? and, what version Heresy's are they? Thanks in advance!
