Great time! Enjoyed the food, fellowship, the music, and enjoyed talking about the experiences and conversations you all had with BOXX on the forum.
Can't wait 'til next year!!

No, actually its "elote" a mexican street corn style cold salad with lime, queso fresco, cilantro, and hot sauce.
It's so good.

Our "not so meager" offerings this Easter.
Slow cooked brisket, elote, roasted potatoes and carrots with garlic and spring onion, the requisite deviled eggs, and fresh herb salad with beets and tomatoes.
Dessert (not pictured) was a light Angel Food Cake with crushed pineapples (baked inside) and whipped cream.
Thanks to Mrs. Boxx for making this Easter meal fabulous. We make a great team.

Sorry, but what is record store day?
It's where you go to a record store, they ask you what kind of turntable you have, and then they charge you for records based on the make and model of your turntable. Take lots of money.....
Very funny!

I buy all the time too, but, often times, you cannot get these releases except on the morning of RSD, because they are so limited in amount, they sell very quickly. So, at 6 am, I line up at my record store of choice in Grand Prairie, Texas (Forever Young) and get my number, so I can get what I want. The lower the number, the better the chance of getting what I want, because they open the boxes in no order, so its a surprise!
Lots of fun...

Does anyone have a music documentary they can recommend about a specific labels? I was recently in Half Price Books and picked up a great book on the story of Casablanca Records. I'd love to see if there is one to watch.

There is a restaurant in the community just north of where Boxx lived, Desoto, Ojedas is the name, they have a life size poster just inside the door, we eat there probably once a week, always think of Boxx going in and leaving. Wont make it to Hope, we went probably about 4 years ago, the factory is so neat, watching the men and women work with the lacewood, then the museum across the street, very neat. The dinner for the employees is an outstanding idea. Yall have fun.
I know the place...thanks for keeping Dad in your thoughts! He would have gotten a kick out of the many impressions he made on people.
Boxx & his brother from a different mother! Very cool.
Thanks...made me laugh!

Yes, Michael Hutchence is certainly one worth mentioning too...it's amazing how many we start to think of once the threads start coming...

Thought of another one...not sure if anyone mentioned Brad Delp from Boston??

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Xanadu.
Good music, though.

Really makes you think...
Did anyone mention Jim Morrison? A sad soul...

Sorry, but, I am on the blue and black bandwagon. But, I am sure my rods and cones are askew too...

Did you know Margaret Hamilton was an Elementary teacher/Sunday School Teacher, too? I think before her acting career. Now, that is a scary image!

I thought the History of the Eagles was a very enjoyable and informative documentary.
Also, I love The Beatles Anthology. Great footage, and good interviews.

Every time I read a new post, I always seem to forget some that are at the top of my list.
I agree with these also...
Wizard of Oz (a film SO far ahead of its time), Jaws, and It’s a Wonderful Life. (hmmm, just wondering what a shrink would say about my choices)?

My two cents worth is for Buddy Holly, and Richie Valens....
John Lennon....
And, then those that took their own lives...Pete Hamm, Terry Kath, and Tom Evans. Very sad.
