I love Memphis Belle.
Also, my top favorites include: The Graduate and Psycho.
-
I have thoughts on this also...
John Lennon, of course, what a sad way to go. And unnecessary.
Accidental: Rick Nelson, and Buddy Holly....
And then those who took their own lives...
Pete Ham, Tom Evans, Terry Kath...
And there it is.

I always loved the Jeopardy skits...
but, anything with Dana Carvey....Church Lady, McLaughlin Group...etc...it goes on...and on...

As a theatre person, let me tell you that Rose is severely overpriced.
I know other places that are better, but, you can also do it yourself for way less. I also have some drapery you could have if I have the right dimensions.
PM me if you want.

It is hard to believe it has been a month since Boxx's passing. I miss him being here everyday, but am honored to have known him and to have enjoyed many, many hours pursuing this hobby together.
Rest In Peace my friend, I miss you dearly, but my life is richer for knowing you.
Here's to you.....
Dennie
Yes, hard to believe...but, I thank you for such a wonderful post. Here's to you, as well.

Well, if there is one thing my Dad taught me, it is class and decorum.
Thanks to all who have commented on each thread, it allows me a great sense of pride and love from this place.

Blessings to Mr. boxx's family.
No need to wish Mr. Box anything other than to have pleasant journey. It is he who is in a better place. It is us who need to deal with worldly issues, such as pain, and so forth.
I lost my step dad, Bill Knapp, last July. It was he who introduced me to the world audiophilia. I've since inherited my step dad's audio equipment. At first, I felt a tremendous guilt, but then, I realized that no one would appreciate his rig more than me. I listen to it, and think of him every single day with great gratitude and pride.
The way I see it, I'm borrowing Bill's equipment. I will take care and hold onto this rig until my own time comes. That's the deal. Hopefully, there will be someone who will one day feel the same way I do now.
We're bound by memories, this equipment and the sweet love of music.
My condolences,
Joseph
Thanks for your kind words...Boxx was my Dad. Welcome to forum. I know they will make you feel as welcome as they have made me feel also.

I like the Unplugged series as well (Clapton, McCartney esp.)
Also, Strunz and Farrah...
I have 1 strunz album that was a gift and to be honest I have not listened to it (I have a good bit of music like that I am ashamed to admit ) but since it gets a thumbs up here I will move it higher on the list.I will also have to look for McCartney unplugged, I have a few unplugged albums but have not heard McCartney
It's called Paul McCartney Unplugged...The official bootleg. It has some good cuts on it. I really like when McCartney plays a specific acoustic set in his concerts. It's so clean sounding, and intimate.

Blackwolf58 will fit in, he's a plethora of audio knowledge...and a tad of sarcasm too.

Did he leave the password or is the machine just still signed in so if you erased browsing history the account would be lost?
I believe so as he said he was on Boxx's laptop. Boxx's account would then be like Oldtimers where you could still read his posts and that was it. Maybe he'll eventually create his own account like Genevieve did and stick around.
I also think Chad could fire up any account if the need arose.
I am so enjoying it here. It's still signed in. I hear there is going to be another memorial Friday night?

Welcome! They have made me feel at home, also, as I am new. My Dad was Boxx, and he was a huge PF fan.
I have seen Roger Waters twice in concert. See my post in "All You PF fans" for my other story....
Hello Maccagirl! Sorry about your loss. I was jamming my Klipsch X7i headphones at work with some Wish You Were Here for him earlier today after I read that post.
I've never found anything close to PF sound. Every new speaker addition or electronics change I make, it is always PF that is used to adjust the soundscape. Luckily, now we have blu ray audio to adjust sound to. I usually use DSOTM blu ray and now The Division Bell blu ray to make my adjustments. TDB album is such an amazing surround cut. Perfection, if you ask me. Of course, Endless River is getting a lot of play right now as well.
Cheers! LWB
Thanks for your kind words. I am always hearing new stuff in PF albums...its amazing what you hear each time your listen. We always had a dog that would howl on cue during Seamus. Like he heard them saying something. Incredible- its not just us.
Talk PF anytime with me. I will always join in.
Cheers back!
Genevieve
