I am inclined to say yes. How awesome is it that he sought out to ask you this? Obviously he has great taste in music. And..the fact that your 11 year old son wants to do something with you?
Besides, you never know how long they will continue to tour. Live it up, if you see fit. That's my parent soapbox this evening.

Excellent. I think some of the songs you mentioned are certainly a few predecessors to stuff on the Rubber Soul album. At least in terms of composition.
Ok, least favorite album? Beatles for Sale. A couple of good ones there (No Reply, I'm a Loser). It was along the lines of "what can we put out before Christmas in '64?"

Wow folks...lots of good stuff. You guys really know how to make somebody feel welcome.
Any thoughts on Help or Hard Days Night?

Well thank you....I think you will see the similarities that my Dad and I shared.
I shall post often, as I learn the ropes around here.

That was funny....you know to each his own, I suppose. It's my first post...I suppose I will learn on that one.

Anyone have any thoughts on this one? Some students asked me what mine was, and I thought "do I really know myself?" I welcome your opinions....

That's too funny. This seems like a great place to hang out. I look forward to many conversations here...

Of course! My Dad trained me well...
Yes, I am a HUGE McCartney fan. I have seen him in concert 7 times. Obsessed...yes. But, I have also seen a nice variety of others. Fleetwood Mac, Ringo, Grand Funk Railroad, Bob Seger, Barry Manilow- etc. It's been a wild ride so far.

Favorite band: The Beatles. No question about it. I know it may sound cliched, but, really, they are my absolute favorite.
I have a lot of variety in my music preferences...My Dad and I were very similar...I love Paul McCartney (solo and Wings). But, it's classic rock all the way. I always tell my students I love classic rock, or new music by classic artists. haha.

Thanks to all...I only wish I had been on the Forum while my Dad was still here. He would have gotten a kick out of the fact that I finally did it!

Michael,
My father would have been touched to read your write up. I know I was. I enjoyed creating such a thoughtful and meaningful playlist in honor of my Dad. These are the songs that I will always remember my Dad playing- it is so funny how sometimes it's the little things that remind you and shape your memories forever.
My Dad was a unique and genuinely awesome person. I look forward to carrying on his legacy here in the Forum, and by reading and writing about things that will remind me of him. It will certainly help to keep his memory alive. Please message me anytime. I would love to chat with you.
Thanks so much for attending, it meant a lot to me.

Is there a specific place on here that we "meet"?

Thank you to all. Forgive me, I am still learning how to post here. Even though I am of the "technology" generation, I will try to learn fast! I loved music as much as my Dad. We would often sit together at the bar in the kitchen and listen to all kinds of music and discuss...I will miss this so much.

Boxx was my Dad- I think this is a very nice tribute to him. I hope to continue his legacy on the forum. I am touched that he touched so many lives here.
