  2. 4200... 140... RF-7 ll... DTS:X... Atmos.... sounds like a great combo! Congrats ! Make sure to get San Andreas & Mad Max, those are the 2 best examples of Atmos.

What demo you use to setup your Atmos ?

  3. I've been looking at Pioneer as well. That AVR should get you to the 5.2.4 you were looking for. Did you also pick up a second pair of 140's (for the rear)?  Connecting them was a welcome addition for my HT. Just watch San Andreas & it was outstanding.

    Congrats with the new arrival!

Starting out i was going to go .4 or nothing,Tomorrow my second pair arrive & everything going to be placed together.......Any tips on mod placements because my back couch is against the wall.

  4. OMG the batteries on these remotes do not last at all! If I have a chatting headset in it only lasts like 4-5 hours. I can't tell if this is an engineering compramise to keep the weight of the controller down or not. I know you  can adjust the lights which might help with batter life but like you said it would be nice to shut it completely off.

    there is no media remote

The controller is the remote. If you are watching a blue ray click the options button and scroll over to "control panel". Hopefully I helped if that is what you are talking about.

Easy fix for the battery life issue that i did......

    Video guide:

    Battery pack to order.

The tools you need is in the video, Very simple fix & take less than 10 to 15 mins to replace each battery. Also if you going to buy a battery from somewhere else just make sure the upgrade is 2000mAh the battery in the PS4 is 1000mAh.

  5. Nexgen76... I wanted to ask what's your room size, how tall are your ceilings & how are they finished?

Room size 25x15(living room for now) Ceiling 8ft high & has flat surface made of wood painted white.

I personally think it's not wise to buy a 700$+ receiver that will be outdated Ina couple months

What part of the tech will be outdated?

Honest to goodness, I can't keep up with the constantly changing "latest and greatest." It reminds me of the early days of the personal computers with DOS and the early Windows configurations where there was a new OS and a new video format every 6 months, VGA, EGA, Super VGA, ad nauseum.

    well guess it won't really

Be outdated but every has a processor that has Dolby true HD AND dts-HD master audio. Because Dolby and Dts coexist. Both receiver he listed only have Dolby and will not be able to be upgraded when Dts comes out very soon. Not sure I'd wanna spend that much money on something that doesn't have both when it's right around the corner. That's what I meant

DTS-X not important to me now because the content( 1 Blu-Ray) isn't there so I'm willing to sit out another year.

  7. I personally think it's not wise to buy a 700$+ receiver that will be outdated Ina couple months myself buuuut, not sure of prices on 4100 vs 5200. If a 4100 with a small 200$ 2 channel amp is cheaper than a 5200 i would go that route.

One guy on here named nismo has a 4100 and he uses an emotiva mini-x for his additional amp. Think he enjoys it very much.

And as far as rear being a few inches shorter avr will compensate for that

    Denon x4100  699.99

    emotiva mini-x 219.00

    Total= 918.00

    VS

    Denon x5200  1,199.00

    Saving.... 281.00

Which route would you choose ?

  8.

    1) Which AVR route should i take Denon x5200

If you go this route, the obvious advantage is all in one convenience, but higher $$$.

    Denon x4100 & add Amp

This route you get most if not all bells and whistles at a lower $$$.

    plus

    2) If i go Denon x4100 route which two channel amp would i need & best fix the situation....Be easy I'm a newbie when it come to Amps.

IMO, if you will use the outboard amp for the additional two secondary channels, you really don't "need" more than about 75w/ch.

    http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/onkm5010/onkyo-m-5010-two-channel-75-wpc-amplifier/1.html#!specifications----(currently out of stock)

If you want a more powerful better quality amp to drive your main speakers, then look for something like this.

Looks like i will be going Denon x4100 & emotiva mini-x route....... I don't know anything about how to configure this setup where do i start & thanks for the input Bill.

  9. Hello guys i been around here for a while & love Klipsch......I'm adding Atmos to my Klipsch setup this week & expect my pair of RP-140SA to arrive Tuesday. But i need some help. I wanting to do 5.2.4 setup so here my question because i will order another pair of RP-140SA this week. After watching Atmos for over a year & demoing it at Bestbuy like crazy I'm ready to make the investment & don't care about DTS-X right now only one movie out & DTS-X has been really quiet about future content(another discussion..lol)

    1) Which AVR route should i take Denon x5200 or Denon x4100 & add Amp.

    2) If i go Denon x4100 route which two channel amp would i need & best fix the situation....Be easy I'm a newbie when it come to Amps.

    3) I'm planning to sit my front height RP-140SA on RF-7 II & my rear height RP-140SA on top off RF-82 II would this be a issue since my front about two or three inches higher & both are above ear level....Thanks

  10. The RC-62 II has sold.

The pair of 82s are still available for sale.

Since most on here likely know all about Klipsch speakers, I'll try to keep this brief.

Two(2) RF-82 II and One(1) RC-62 II for sale.  They are all Black.

    Located in Nashville/Middle Tennessee area.

Trying to find that reasonably appealing range, now asking $700 for the pair of floorstanding speakers.

I just bought these three speakers brand new about 3 month ago.  I'm upgrading my main system in my rather large and spacious Living Room.  When first choosing between 7s or 82s, I went for the less expensive option of the 82s and center 62.  After a few months, I'm just not satisfied with the 82s and 62 filling my large Living Room.  So, I'm already upgrading to the 7s and 64.

These used speakers are just like new.  My home is a non-smoking house.   They are in tip top shape.  I did throw out the cardboard boxes.  I'd prefer to sell them as a set to someone in the Middle Tennessee region, but I am willing to consider other options if there is interest.  I'm willing to negotiate, and I am flexible on how I sell the speakers.

I'll do my best to answer any questions.  I'm hoping that I can sell these to make room for the new 7s, and I'm hoping to get a fair and reasonable amount of money out of them to apply towards the 7s.  Hopefully the buyer can get an excellent set of like new speakers at a reasonable and attractive price that saves a little money vs buying new speakers.  Win-win!  attachicon.gifKlipschUpClose.jpgattachicon.gifKlipschLeft.jpgattachicon.gifCenterSpeaker.jpg

Are the 82 still forsale ? Where Middle Tenn are you ?

  11. Hi all. I was debating between the heritage line(cornwalls) and the RF line about a year ago and thanks to everyone's help I actually ended up buying both  :D

I enjoyed my time with both systems and the time has come for some changes.

I guess I'm following Youthman's route. Current plan is to sell the RF system and move on to Lascallas or Belles.

I do also have the RS62 II, but would rather keep them as surrounds (they are amazing surrounds). However, if someone would only buy a full package I will consider selling these too.

They are in excellent condition except for one of the RF7s having a slightly dinged corner in the top back corner and some slight scratches on the front caused by the grill pegs. Not noticeable at all when placed in the room, but to be clear. Tried to capture it in the pics.

    Here are the asking prices.

    RF7 II pair  - $1600

    RC64 II  - $600

    Thanks for looking!

I'm looking for a pair of RS-62 II if you looking to unload them I will get them from you.

  12. Can i use 2 front height & 2 rear height speakers angled down to the listen area(RB-51 II) for Atmos setup ? My ceiling is 8ft high so i was going to place them 7ft  high....Thxs
