  1. Done deal! She is even going to throw in the matching sub that she says doesn't work. Shouldn't be much of an issue for me to get sorted out though. I'm doing a happy dance!
  2. Ok, yes it's an RC-35. All 3 for $300 is a deal I don't really wanna pass up. Keep the wifey happy, for now. I can always upgrade in the future. I would probably need an amp to run much bigger than these to their potential anyways right? The SR-5009 is rated at 100W per channel w/2 driven @ 8 ohms.
  3. She didn't sys what the model of the center is. looks like maybe a rc-35? http://i.imgur.com/OhRwn5C.jpg
  4. Yeah i've been texting him. Those were indeed RF-7's sitting beside them. He doesn't want to sell 'em though. I really appreciate all of your feedback through this.
  5. ok, someone in my old hometown is selling a set of rf-35's plus an unknown center for $300. good deal?
  6. Thank you all for the advice! I'm contacting the guy selling the 63's, and inquiring about the 7's sitting beside them. BTW Tadsom, I agree, great eye! I have been searching CL locally for about a month but it seems that everyone selling klipsch doesn't want to let them go for a truly great price. I have about a week or so before I can make a purchase so I am going to keep an eye out.
  7. I just got the receiver on Saturday and dug out an old set of 1970's bose 501's I had in the garage. needless to say, I need some good mains. I really wish I could afford the rf-7's, but the 82's are right at the peak of what I can do without my wife killing me.
  8. Thanks for the welcome! I am in northern California. Grass Valley to be exact.
  9. I just got a new Marantz SR-5009 to build my home theater around. My budget isn't that great, but after much research, I am pretty set on purchasing a new set of RF-82ii's for my fronts. Center, sub and surrounds will come later. That was until today, I found a local guy selling a set of RF-3ii's for $375, which is a little less than half the price of the 82ii's. Is it worth the extra money for the 82's? Am I on the right track for my build? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
