may pay a high price for trusting someone they really should be able to trust, their President.

I hope you don't take offence at this opinion from a foreigner.  Sometimes it helps to see what today's America looks like from the other side of the border.

You're Canadian, Islander (I know you know!) That's not foreign to me.

I heard that bleach will kill the virus.  I have a gallon at home just in case I catch it.  Trying to decide if a teaspoon or tablespoon will do it but leaning toward a tablespoon just to be sure.

Jesus, I'm referring to the couple who took the word of a non expert and decided that it would be ok. Apples and oranges. The non expert should shut up about it because there are people who think he knows. He doesn't know. Did anyone whose presence is constant on tv say that to you?

This is not political.  The guy was an idiot.

Yes... an idiot for believing false info spread by someone on tv who gives false info. Did you read the quotes from the family? They did not decide to do this, idiotically,  on their own.

  4. This is not political. The BBC reporting now that an Arizona man has died due to using chloroquine after watching, on several sites, claiming it may work. It was used for his and his wife's friggin koi fish. Now for the non political part of it. He is not educated on this subject. He needs to shut up because many people believe him. And now one has died because of it.

"We saw his press conference. It was on a lot, actually," she said. "Trump kept saying it was basically pretty much a cure."

"We were afraid of getting sick," she told NBC.

It's hard to build houses from home, or so I would imagine.

I used to install acoustic suspended ceilings. I told my boss one day that I would work longer and harder than anyone if I could install and uninstall ceilings in my garage. He thought it was a dumb idea! I tried

great news Jason, answered prayers for sure ... don’t imagine a hospital is a safe place right about now.

The hospital is rarely a safe place even under good circumstances. Never allow a loved one to be alone there. Advocacy is the most human thing you can do and can save lives. I have the highest regard for the medical pros. But even they are sometimes lacking. Just like any other profession.

I am glad for Jason, his dad and all the family.

it was actually somewhat pleasant here in the Pacific Northwest. I saw this thing that used to hang in the sky over Southern California -- it's called the sun.

but, the forecast for next week shows many rainy days.

It was great, wasn't it? As soon as the temp hits 50 and the sun's out, so are the shorts and t-shirts. We think it's almost summer. The bar is low.

    I'm sorry, but that's unbelievable.  It's crazy!  😮

So, the mayor orders them to stop shooting each other so there are beds for the Covid-19 virus patients?

"Baltimore Mayor Begs Residents To Stop Shooting Each Other So Hospital Beds Can Be Used For Coronavirus Patients..."

Then after the virus passes, does the mayor give the go-ahead for its citizens to resume the shootings?

I used to play fantasy football with an East coaster whose team was named 'Bodymore, Murderland.' When we asked the significance of the name, he posted current shooting and death statistics. Now it isn't the only city with a shooting problem, but we understood why he used that moniker. It fit.

funny .... the alcohol transition.  When I was a freshman in high school it was Boone's Farm.  Then it was Bacardi 151. Then Two Fingers Tequila. Ah, the fun of high school.

I wasn't any better. Sloe gin at the high school football games then a 6er of my dad's Shlitz Malt Liquor And the rest of the weekend in the loo!

LOL, I had to look it up.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is a term applied by some writers to describe critics of US President Donald Trump, including liberals and progressives, whom they accuse of responding to statements and political actions by Trump in a manner verging on the irrational, without regard to his actual position or action taken.

I'm sorry but I didn't have to look that up. Trump's Deranged Sycophants has alway been the definition as I see it. What is politics doing here?

  11. Just wanted to voice my appreciation to this board. I love to come here after reading the world news. It is informative and fun. I know that we as a country are in division. It's obvious that demographics are no different here. But the love of reproducing music through our Klipsch is a unifying factor.  And that in itself gives me hope. I think we could use more of that today. (and more music reproduction!) So thank you to the members and the voices expressed here.
