I have a KSW12 subwoofer that has been amazing but apparently no longer gets power (the green light by the logo never turns on).
I didn't realize it, but there's a fuse on the back that can be replaced.
Underneath the fuse hole, it says "1.2A 250V". The fuse is 1.25" long.
When I was first searching for them online, I could only find 1A, 2A, or 1.5A fuses it seemed. If I google for them I see one "Slo-blo" fuse at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Cartridge-Fuses-250V-1-2A-Slo-Blo/dp/B005T8M1Q4
Other results seem to be for 100 quantity orders. They don't have this fuse at my local hardware stores. Is the above the correct fuse/Does it have to be exactly that? What other specs do I need to be aware of?
From reading another thread, it sounds like this may not be the issue & the fuse will immediately blow again?
Is it worth spending $13 on a fuse or better to put that towards a repair or a new sub? (I'm paring down from a 5.1 system. It's only stereo right now & plenty powerful at my new place with terrazzo floors but I figured the sub would be nice).
What repair options are there?
THANKS!
