How would I tell if the serial number confirms the year. I should have taken a picture of it.

I appreciate all of the feedback. If I had the room, I'd definitely take the time to restore them and keep them. Unfortunately I live in a condo. I used to listen to them growing up and I definitely have an affinity for Klipsch! That's what my current set up is!

I went before work today, so I didn't have a lot of time to clean them up. I took pictures of the flaws. I am located in Salt Lake City Utah. The first seven pics are one speaker and the next eight are the other.

My Dad has a pair of 1978 Klipsch La Scalas. I'm trying to determine the value. They will need some work to be restored and I have someone that in interested in purchasing them, but I don't know what a fair price would be for both of us. I'm having problems uploading pictures but there are some chips in the wood and they should probably be refinished. I'll try to update the photo file size.
