And now he will sell the set to me with a bunch of other stuff for $1600. Seems like I have to do it. Is there a bipolar KLF surround?
The KSP-S6's were the surrounds to "match" the KLF Legend Series (http://www.klipsch.com/products/ksp-s6-surround-speaker). They were also featured in the KLF Brochure.
Have to hunt for them but they are out there. Took me about 6-9 months to find two pairs by setting a Google Alert. A fair price is around 2-250/pr, yet some are beginning to ask more now that they are getting more rare.

Wow, this is really hard and complicated, but simple too. I know what I like, but I can't find it.
Just my .02, but I'd say you've found it. You can't go wrong with the KLF set up. Nor would the CF's have been a bad choice either. As far as the newer lines I've never been much of a fan, but have heard/read good things about the Reference line. I find the old school Klipsch's still sound better but to each their own.
Having owned a 4-Klipschorn/Academy Center back in the day, the KLF's for HT and music listening purposes are about as tight as it gets for the $$. I'm running 2 30's up front, dual C7 centers, 4 KSP-6's for side and surrounds, with 4 KSB 1.1's as height speakers for Atmos (after much critical testing, my ears find these to timbre match as closely as possible to the Legend line). To complete my 7.2.4 system, I run dual JL Audio Fathom F-113's. Overkill. I know. :)))
Bite the bullet vasabandu, you'll be extremely happy you did.

Hmm, KLF-30s are going up in price. I guess I need to keep mine a while longer. Kind of like gold or the stock market
Actually in the right room, they are definitely the sleeper of the Klipsch line. In my 20x22 open back family room with good corners, being 3 feet out from the corners and sides, they compared very favorable to k-horns.
My k-horns are gone if that tells you anything.
Second that. There was a time long ago, almost 20 yrs. now, when I had 4 K-Horns with dual Academy's driven by more Carver amps (4,000+ watts) than I care to admit; bi-amped in all their glory. It was impressive, ridiculous, stupid and many other adjectives one could gasp when they heard them. The sound was amazing, as was the experience. But fast-forward to today, and with the soft (sweet) spot for the KLF-30's that has always nagged at me for not having bought them, I just had to scratch that itch. So here we are, and it's love all over again...
I also agree, prices are on the rise for these. I'd been searching for a while and passed/missed a couple on eBay, $1,000 & $1,200 respectively. Sub-$1k is not easy to find without some appearance issues, or at least not often. With time, the more rare they become, so supply and demand will drive them up.
I actually emailed the CL seller when I first saw the listing, but he got rid of the original boxes several years ago, which would have made shipping even more unreasonable to strike a deal. We all agree his number is too high, but they appear to be as Mint as anyone could ever find. I probably would have gone as high as $1250 for them, but that's me.

Sounds good dtr20. Let me know what deal you'd like to make and I'll save you the trouble. Just curious of their condition and assume they're black (not sure if they were made in other finishes). PM me if you'd like.
Thanks,
Frank

Hi all, I picked up a pair of ksp-s6 surround speakers in a big lot of equipment that I bought. It's a corner speaker with two horns and two woofers, and wall mountable. Does anyone have any experience with these, how good are they, are they rare, are they desirable? Also, roughly how much are they worth? Thanks
Hi dtr20,
I'm looking for a pair of these. Are you interested in selling?
In addition to what teaman said, they are often used as surrounds in KLF setup's, only since the KLF Series did not produce a specific model for this. However, with Crites upgrades in the KLF's, the KSP's use neodymium and do not have an upgrade available. Instead, some prefer the Reference Series since they have titanium tweets to match. Just a few thoughts.
Did you see what I saw?

Hey Vasa, I see you're system is coming together, congrats!
I just came across these online and figured I'd pass along: https://houston.craigslist.org/ele/d/klipsch-ksp-s6-tear-surround/6486398823.html. A few dings and dents (these are hard to find perfect) but at $200 may be worth a negotiation. Mine also had some dents in their fender, but still sound ideal with the KLF's. So just an FYI. Good luck on completion.
Best,
Frank
