The old fat ps3 will not transmit atmos. I had the same problem, I use my ps4 for atmos. Google it. The slim ps3 can do atmos
Ok so transmit Dolby True hd doesnt mean be able to transmit Atmo is it correct?

No special BDP is needed. The avr will do the processing for Atmos. The movie 300 is not Atmos since it is quit old. I don't really care is a movie is Atmos: just use Neo X. Some avrs have a firmware update that will make Neo X object base.
Neo x is NEURAL:X?

Yes it is... And when i watch "300" appear Dolby true hd on the screen.... Now i dont understand if my ps3 in able to reproduce the Atmos sound....
i understood that If a BD player can reproduce Dolby true hd,also dolby atmos can be reproduced... Right?

The original PS3 phat model could not bitstream either DTS:X or TrueHD audio and had to decode these formats onboard and output the results as LPCM. However the PS3 Slim can bitstream both, but not if the Blue-ray is a 3D film. The PS3 cannot bitstream TrueHD if the video content is sequential 3D as used for 3D Blue-ray titles. So the answer is yes, the PS3 can output Atmos encoded content as long as the console is the slim model, you bitstream the TrueHD audio and as long as the film isn't the sequential 3D version.

Yes i know this works with the Ps3 Slim instead Fat can t .If i use Bitstream i can only listen with Dolby Digital codec also f the BD is a True Hd like Mad Max.... :-(
-
I have the old fat ps3 i read that i can listen true hd 7.1 but have to leave the setting to PCM LINEAR but in this case my avr can t display which codec is running i mean: true hd,Dts etc....

Hi guys im here for a suggestion...
i have a denon x6200w with a pair of rp-280fa and a firing rp-140sa mounted on the left and right surrounds.
Looking on denon setups i see that i can decide between a lot of configurations to use my up firing speakers but im here to ask if is possible to ear a better sound using the configuration for the in ceiling speakers instead for the upfiring speakers...
I think to listen much more sounds using the in celing front and rear configuration instead of front upfiring and surround upfiring ,in this real?
-
:-) at the end i bought
RP-280FA
RP-450C
RP-150M(surrounds)
R-115SW
with a Denon x6200

audyssey set me the atmos of my rp-280fa at 60hz but i tried to cut at 150hz and for me it sounds better....
-
Also if nobody answer my question,i dcided to cut my rp-140sa and the Atmos of my rp-280fa at 150hz .I did that because i read some old posts about that....

Yes but now the sound is very clear as i like.....
When i run audyssey it set my atmos speakers to 60hz, should i set it at 80 or more?
-
I did it but honestly i don t like the sound with Audyssey flat or reference because there are not hights, the sounds are too flat on my opinion so i decided to change something and i prefere it but i dont really know if i did well.... Take a look pleaseI change the audyssey to flat from reference. I don't like the highs rolled off. At least with my upstairs setup. Downstairs I leave at reference.
Dynamic EQ is a preference. I used to hate it. Cause I listened loud all the time. Now I don't anymore so it's on in both my setups. Offset leave at 0
Turn dynamic colume off. Hate that setting.
If you are boosting the highs, there is a possibility you are like a lot of us. As you age, you lose hearing at very high frequencies. If Audyssey measured it and it didn't sound bright enough then it is possible that your ears are the culprit. That's fine, but if you have young people over, ask them if they think the highs are too much. If you don't, they may just leave because they are in pain and you won't have a clue why.
I copied the AUDYSSEY FLAT to the EQ but i boosted the last 3 levels +2 and i feel good....I love listen the sound of broking classes during a movie and today i watched Harry Potter chapter 6 when the witch broke all the windows, glasses inside hogwards and now i love the sound of my speakers :-)
I love the Crispy sound so im trying to find the best setup
