  1. The recommendation for Atmos is to have direct firing speakers at the same height as your mains, no higher than halfway up the wall. Elevated dispersed speakers will work but it's not ideal.

Sorry but how can i mount Atmos in celling speakers at the same high of Front speakers?.... Maybe i missed something heheheeh

He was speaking specifically about the mains, surrounds and rears. He also meant that the ceiling speakers can alternatively be replaced by Atmos up firing speakers like these http://www.klipsch.com/products/reference-premiere-dolby-atmos-series#rp-140sa

Please download and read this document. It explains everything he and I have been talking about.  Dolby Atmos® Home Theater Installation Guidelines April 2015:

Oh thank you so much to explain me everything in easy words :-) for me is not always easy... And don t worry i ve already downloaded the Dolby Atmos installation guide and i ve understood that i would buy for surround the RP-250S with Floorstands 120cm talls so are at the same High of the front speakers as Atmos sais :-) Correct?

  2. http://www.dolby.com/us/en/guide/dolby-atmos-speaker-setup/5-1-2-setups.htmlhttp://www.dolby.com/us/en/guide/dolby-atmos-speaker-setup/7-1-4-setups.html"no speakers—especially Dolby Atmos enabled modules—should be higher than half the height of your wall. "On a standard 8' ceiling, that's 4' high, the height of a standard tower like an RF-7ii. Most people mount dispersed surrounds higher than this.

I would buy a pair of RP-280 and i understood that have to mount the surround RP-250S 60cm higher than ears and 45 degrees fronter for in celling Atmos speakers as CDT-5800-C II all right? ( my ceiling is 2.70 meters h

  4. Your receiver says it is Atmos compliant. Here are all the snips from the user manual that discuss Atmos on your AVR:

im sure in next future i will have a 5.1.2 ATMOS ...for me is good enough for now :-)     would you be so gentle to help me for buy the best Atmos speakers?

  5. RP-250S is for wide, big, surround sound. For atmosphere and movies.

RP-160M is for small, accurate, surround sound. For precision and music.

ohh thanks thanks thanks :-) my room is 350sq ft so i should use the RP-250S right :-D

It's your decision! Atmosphere vs Precision. ;-)

    Atmosphere Atmosphere :-D

so if in the next future i would buy 2 atmos speakers, which are the best between RP-140SA and CDT-5800-C ? (or if have a suggestion, please give it to me)

  6. If you find that the wire isn't going to work out for you, then monoprice sells excellent copper 12AWG in 300' rolls here: http://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=102&cp_id=10239&cs_id=1023901&p_id=2790&seq=1&format=2. I have purchased this, and can say it is top quality.

Thx Mustang .Im sure i will find here in europe a good wire too i just needed much more infos and u give it to me.... 12awg is enough big for my 200Watts Rms Onkyo tx-rz 900

  7. I was on the fence for a long time on the use of direct radiators or wide dispersion for surround duty.  I like the wide dispersion for HT.  The direct sound is great and the wide dispersion just fill-in the rest of the side and rear space so much better than direct radiators.

uhmm im so sorry but i don't understand what u said :-(

please explain it using easy words.... im not ENGLISH :-)

  8.

Hi guys im from italy and i would like to know if for you which is the best between these 2 choices and WHY:

    RP-280F

    RP-450C

    RP-250S

    R-115SW

    or

    RP-280F

    RP-450C

    RP-160M

    R-115SW

    Grazie grazie :-D

I guess you're just asking which is better for rear surrounds, the 250S or 160M.  I'd say it might depend on whether you want a traditional 5.1 channel system where you elevate the side speakers and use speakers with a wide dispersion, or are you after a more modern Atmos style where you have direct firing speakers at a lower height.  One will be better for ambience and the other better for more aggressive effects and music.

im starting with a 5.1 and asap i would have an ATMOS 5.1.2       is just for budget's problem ,nothing more....

  9. So im understanding that if i have to connect a speacker that is 50ft from my Onkyo ampli, i can use a 12awg wire right?

I was looking to an other kind of wire.... a SUPRA CLASSIC 2.5 ...have you ever heard about it?

  10. Your Onkyo has 2 subwoofer outputs. You should consider having dual subs if possible. One in the front off center, and one in the rear off center. You will get much better low frequency response from more seating positions.

In the future i would have a DOLBY ATMOS and The only setup that i can do is 5.1.2 or 5.1.4 with external amplifier...right?

  11. Hi guys,im from Italy :-) and i decided to buy the best american HT as more of you but i need a help.
