They have a lot of bass but it's not punchy like my rb-35s. I think I might make a computer case of out of them and sell the drivers.
-
Hey does anybody know anything about these? I got them on Craigslist for $40. The grills don't seem to come off.

Good news, I put some OOPS! on the balance pot and it works great now I think the volume knob could use some too. Still not sure about the black spots on the pcb. Maybe there's some corrosion on the wires.
-
Darn, I took it apart and I noticed the circuit board is black under some resistors.

Ok, thanks. I can always count on a quik reply on the Klipsch forum

I bought a Carver amp on Craigslist ($20) and it works except the left channel is much quieter than the right. If I turn the balance knob to the left side I can eventually get the left channel to be full volume but I can't move it back to the middle or I'll lose the left channel. What could be wrong with it?
This is a picture of the amp, it doesn't have a model number on it..

Ok the model is LH-123C

Are Altec Lansing speakers any good? This guy has some for only $90, they look pretty nice.
I am selling a pair of very nice 1970s speakers. They are in nice condition, especially considering their age and sound excellent. I believe the drivers are Altec Lansing and the case is General Electric. The case is solid 3/4 inch cherry wood. They are beautiful and have great sound. It breaks my heart to sell them, but I'm moving to the West Coast.

Ok, I finally shipped them. I put them in separate boxes since it was a lot easier to pack them.
-
I think I'm just going to try and find a bigger box and put this box in that one and fill it with styrofoam.
-
It's kind of hard to describe, but basically I put like 2" of styrofoam in front of the grills but none on the back of the speakers. On top I used 4" of foam. Each speaker is in its own box and very tight. Then I put them in the bigger box and cut it to fit. I was worried about the grills supporting too much weight so I put them facing the top of the box so if they stand the box up they won't support and weight. I also took the speaker stands off and put them in their own box. Sorry that's not a very good description but I was up late last night.

Ok, I checked with Fedex Ground and it's a lot cheaper, I'll definitely ship with them. I wish they had pick up service though.
I was thinking of putting a picture of the speakers on the outside of the box since it's in a Weber grill box. I had trouble setting it down gently, I can see how somebody might just drop it if they think it's a grill and well packed, etc.

No, just a fan of his.
-
Ok, yea it was my fault.
-
Damn, these speakers are going to cost $150 to ship not $70. I know it's my fault but should I say anything to the buyer?

Are you sure about that? It says local pickup only.

I asked him about shipping, if it's not too much I'm going to get them.

I need to ship some KG4's but don't have the original boxes. How do I pack them without them getting messed up? BTW here's some pics

I hate to sell them but they're probably better off in somebody else's hands anyways. My cat would destroy them.. I got them on craigslist for $50

Yea, craigslist is great..
