  1. Well, at least they work, i had 2 sets of those Z560s and the amp fried in both of them. My Klipsch's are working flawlessly so far and im happy i spent the extra 100 bucks or so on them. Get your money back man, get some reliable speakers. ------------------ Bleedings ears are not a problem, but when your eyes explode you might want to turn it down some.......
  2. Hey again, im loving the Klipsch Speakers (PM 4.1) but im wondering if I would notice a difference in sound quality if i was to upgrade my Soundblaster Live! Value (OEM Version from Gateway, computer purchased 8/01) to perhaps a higher end card such as the Audigy XGamer or Platinum? Or the Hercules GTXP? I'm not going to be doing any sound production, mainly listening to CD's playing games in 4 speaker mode etc.....but is it going to be something ill actually notice as far as quality and immersion goes? Any feedback helpful, i just want to get a top notch sounding system here. Thanks! ------------------ Bleedings ears are not a problem, but when your eyes explode you might want to turn it down some.......
  3. Thanks justin, i set it to the rock setting and it sounds pretty good. Playing around with Power DVD XP 4.0 now and listening to pink floyd the wall on it. Heh, its really cool how it just takes certain sounds to the back speakers, i like that.....im sure some movies are better than others though... Any suggestions as far as reduction of port noise on the sub? I noticed some when the bass is cranked up high.......not too bad though if i keep it turned down lower but id like to be able to burst my bass up a bit more without getting that farting sound from the port.....suggestions? ------------------ Bleedings ears are not a problem, but when your eyes explode you might want to turn it down some.......
  4. Ok, these speakers sound great! I'm just wondering if any of you guys have played around with the windows volume settings and what solution worked best for you as far as what percentage to set the volume output from your windows mixer. Im using a SB Live Value card. Ive got them all set about 3/4 of the way up now and it doesent sound too bad but im curious as to how to get that "perfect" sound. BTW, i dont notice any hiss at all from these like some folks had complained about, totally clean and clear even when i shut off music and turn speaker volume up. ------------------ Bleedings ears are not a problem, but when your eyes explode you might want to turn it down some.......
  5. Well, there here! and work just fine so far, they actually sound better than the logitech in my opinion too. Much better high end response, and a lot crisper. Well see how they do though, not gonna say its all good right away, since sometimes problems take awhile to surface. But so far so good!! (cept those damn minijacks, ick) ------------------ Bleedings ears are not a problem, but when your eyes explode you might want to turn it down some.......
  6. Well, after much hassle with the Z560's from Logitech (I fried 2 amps in a row on them, volume was only set to 50 percent when they went bad) i got a refund from my local source on those, and ordered some 4.1's directly off the Klipsch site, and used overnight delivery option , yes, i know, impatience, but the extra 60 bucks is worth it to get them sooner, i think my neighbors are actually starting to like me now, and that scares me. So anyhoo, they are supposed to arrive today sometime, and I'm anxious to see if they work straight out of the box, i read so many posts about bad sets etc, but as someone pointed out, a lot of ppl dont post unless they DO have a problem. Well, I for one am going to post regardless of what the situation is, either: A) My set will be rockin hard, and the cops probably on thier way. Ill be addressing whatever problem arises, hopefully this wont happen, but if it does so be it. I have to say though, i called customer service to check on if my shipment had left Klipsch yet (called yesterday) and they were very helpful to me, and Kudos to the support reps there. Justin, keep up the good work man. I do in game support as a volunteer for an Massively Multiplayer Online game (cant mention the name due to the EULA agreement i have with them) and I think its great you help out without getting paid, i know i do the same thing as well in the gaming world. Heres to being deaf!!!! (hopefully) Lanthai................... ------------------ Bleedings ears are not a problem, but when your eyes explode you might want to turn it down some.......
  7. Be careful if you get the Z560's, I had some last friday, used them for about 40 minutes and the amp fried on me, and im not the only one that has had this problem, Im takin them back and getting some promedias, apparently the amp construction in the Z560 isnt quite up to par according to a HT guy i talked to, who used to carry both, then dropped the Logitechs because of numerous returns on this issue, he claims the return rate of promedias is much lower, in fact only one case of an amp problem at all. ------------------ Bleedings ears are not a problem, but when your eyes explode you might want to turn it down some.......
