  1. I need peace and quiet while running Audyssey. I have and 18mos old son who even while not in the same room will be bouncing off the walls or trying to reach ride my Doberman on the hardwood floors in the kitchen.

I reset the CPU on the AVR when the I got  home last night and everything is wiped clean, and it still sounded bad.  I flipped polarity w/ no change.  I removed the straps and reseated them with no change in performance what so ever. This was all running in stereo with no sub connected.  Ironically after I reset the CPU I can't get the center channel or surrounds to come back on

  2. I'm going to microprocessor reset the denon when I get home and see if it makes a difference.  If it doesn't I'll start flipping for polarity to see if it changes.  Doing the reset should wipe my previous  Audyssey settings and then to get the wife and kid out of the house to recalibrate

  3. I heard them in Best Buy, and that is the reason I purchased them.  I don't know what AVR they were pushing them with,  but the satellites I had on the wall got way louder at-15 on the volume scale where as the towers I'm taking them all the way to 0-3 to get close to the same volume.

  4. I'm not impressed.  I bought largest entry level towers they make but the satellites they replaced sound better.  It's like I'm not even moving the woofers and it's hooked up to a Denon AVR-589.  I left the straps hooked up to the binding posts.  I even switched over to stereo and turned the channel gain on the AVR all the way up to the highest level +12dB on both towers.  Any help would be appreciated.  I also turned off Dynamic EQ and VOL. set the channel cross over as low as it would go at 40Hz
