Does no-one here "like" the 5's?

Good deal if you can get past the maple - not my fav.

    No, I don't like the 5s.

I love the 5s. They got me started on this crazy journey. I still have a rough pair in cherry that I'd like to refurbish and veneer in something interesting.

Pair of beautiful consecutive serial # cherry RB-5 IIs for a Benjamin!  (Actually I have him five Jacksons).

A little dusty and some minor scratches but they should work very well as my surrounds.

Nice! I've had a couple pairs in medium oak (still have a pair) and love them. Tough speaker to beat for $100.

  3. I own two pairs of 20s and a pair of 30s. One pair of 20s is solid and needs nothing, but the rest could all use a cabinet refresh.

The solid pair of 20s is one of my favorite speakers I've owned. Smooth, musical mids and highs, with deep, punchy bass. Forced to choose, I'd probably take them over my RF-7IIs.

In any case, it sounds like you have other issues if you're getting muddy bass.

never knew klipsch made unnecessary products....

How about unjustifiable? In that I really didn't need them, but couldn't resist.

Sounds pretty healthy.  Looks like some new exhaust pieces to help move some spent air/fuel.....

It's a 49k mile '95 Cobra engine that I got complete and untouched out of a wrecked car. Installed it in my '93 stock with a fresh oil pump and pickup, some new gaskets, and a '93 Cobra upper intake. 75mm MAF, 70mm throttle, 1 3/4" long tubes, and a Bassani cat back are the only real mods. I've only taken it for a quick spin around the block (brakes need to be bled after replacing booster and master cylinder), but it felt very strong and sounds amazing. Couldn't be happier :D

Now time for tune, hood paint and install, and I have full length subframe connectors and a strut brace from Maximum Motorsports that I need to install.

What's up with the parking spot ?

I took this at the dealership. The dealer parked the car in that spot after detailing it. I don't think anyone was gonna be using that spot, since the dealer had already closed for the night and we were the last customers there.
