Some further news: The repair has been completed before expected and the MX-1000 + CX-1000 have been shipped. Can't wait to get my hands on them!

Hello everyone, Some further news about the amplifier. The seller did a last check up on the MX-1000 and it has been found a "issue" on one of the channels of the speakers. The seller said to me that he will send it to a German Yamaha special technician which is renowned and usually has a waiting list of 6 months minimum. The selling has been delayed for some months until the issue is fixed.

Hello everyone, I'm have some good news for someones (not as good for the others ) I just confirmed the purchase of the combo Yamaha MX-1000 and CX-1000. Price 1800eur (shipping costs included)! The bad news are that, to avoid some 300eur (swiss customs), I sent it to a friend's address in Portugal (EU country). Unfortunately I will only put my hands on it in the end of July. As soon as I get my hands on it, I will come back here to post some photos of it, I give a complete feedback! Thanks to all of you for your several suggestions / opinions! I hope I have made a good deal and I will be pleased with his sound!

Buy it or buy them? To connect my cd player, vinyl player I need the CX-1000,no? (it's the connection between this 2 devices that isn't clear to me). It's such an amount... I have to think carefully and explain it to my wife - when i first searched i have fixed a budget of 500-600dollars Musically speaking, can anybody tell me how this amp sounds?

I'm seeking for an amp to connect all my devices and my Klipsch speakers, The power amp stereo amplifier it's not a problem, if i set it up correctly, As far as I understood, I need for example, a CX-1000 to connect it to the MX-1000 to setup my devices? I am all ears for another amp suggestions!

If I buy this MX-1000 how i'm supposed to connect all my devices, if there is only one line in? Sorry for the question that might seem "stupid" but I have no idea how setup this installation with this amp.

Hello, I just made some research about this amp and i found that it has only one line in? Is this correct? I would have to buy a second amp to connect all my devices? On my researches over internet (before coming here) I found several times, people saying that Yamaha amps are not suited for Klipsch speakers (musically speaking?)? Honestly besides the quality of this amp, in therms of design it's not very appealing, this late 80's design with all this plastic...

Hello Jimjimbo, Yes, sure. I live at Geneva. 99% of my purchases are made over internet resellers, mainly from UE countries (France, UK and principally Germany). The NAD amp suggested by Bill is available on internet european resellers for about 1600dollars. It's expensive, in fact, if any of you can point me to an amp under 1000dollars it would be great! But i also know that quality has its price, and I accept it. For info, my Klipsch speakers have been bought 2 years ago on a french internet reseller for 3000 dollars, around. I know that in US they are normally cheaper, it's the "price" from living outside US (customs taxes), I'm ok with that! Thank you for your reply.
