  1. Accessory for less guy is trying to talk me into pioneer Elite SC-LX501. Any thoughts? Would the denon AVR-X4200W or should I go with one of the suggestions above?
  2. P.s. Would Bi-a ping help or should I stay away from it?
  3. Thanks Willand! Trust me I believe you and I hate buying things twice. I'm hoping okay will be good enough for me , i just want to make sure I won't damage from under powering or anything crazy. I very rarely get to turn it up with a 3 yr old and 11 month old. My wife flooded the laundry room yesterday and it leaked through the vents onto the floor below and soaked the 2 week old carpet. I leveraged the opportunity to buy the 82's. If I spend 600-700 on a receiver too there could be questions thanks for all your help. I think I'll try out the Denon and if it can't do the job good enough I'll send it back.
  4. Thanks for the suggestions. The website is great! Do you think I could get away with a denon x2300w? Only 95 wpc. I think the audyssey would be helpful for me since I have always struggled with setup. I know it doesn't have preouts, but if things get serious I could move this upstairs to power the old Bose system left by previous owner.
  5. Thanks for the reply. Budget is probably 250-600. I try and buy everything used, new old stock or refurbished if possible. I don't plan on expanding except maybe a sub so 5.1 or 5.2 since there is already an In wall 4zone system upstairs (which will be a future question as the previous owner took the receiver for it ) The room is small about 20x30 with 10' ceilings. I'm just looking for something to drive them well but nothing crazy.
  6. I need help with a suggestion for a receiver for the new home. I have rc-62, rb-61, rf-82, and a sw-112 sub. I would like to pick up a discontinued/older model to try and keep costs down. Also, should I put the bookshelves in front or back vs the rf-82's? Thanks for any help or advice as I am pretty ignorant in this arena, but I love movies and music.
