So as renovations continue in my house, ive played around with how im going to position the speakers TV and whatever else. Here is an update! Im a bit in an uncomfortable position. I cant decide whether i want to be a shelf or a receiver.. Also after doing some more research on receivers i keep jumping back and forth between the Onkyo and the Yamaha. I've read this review of the Onkyo TX-RZ610 and it seems like an amazing receiver. https://www.soundandvision.com/content/onkyo-tx-rz610-av-receiver-review#hUUSzLDWzDCOVvgp.97 The thing is they have discontinued it but i can get it for a real good price brand new on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-TX-RZ610-Channel-Network-Receiver/dp/B01EG56LB6/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1504032584&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=ONKYO+7.1+TX-RZ610 But also a new version this years model came out which is the TX-RZ620 https://www.onkyousa.com/Products/model.php?m=TX-RZ620&class=Receiver&source=prodClass I dont know if there are huge differences between last years Model or his years model. But their high end receiver for 500$ i feel like i cant go wrong. And then you have the Yamaha RX-A870 i like how it looks. What are the main differences between the two brands from your experience Onkyo and Yamaha. Whether its the GUI or something else. Any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why the Onkyo? in your opinion and i have never heard of the integra but it does look nice!

I think i made my decision gentlemen to go with the Yamaha RX-870 https://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio_visual/av_receivers_amps/rx-a870_u/index.html . I think the receiver will suite me quite well! Cant wait to put it all together now!

Oh man, i think i feel it coming in my bones already. I used to put car stereos and subwoofers were my favorite part. I fear that i may have the same addiction with home theater subs. Ill try it, as soon as i figure out which receiver to get!

@YouthmanI bought this system used from a gentleman and thats the center channel that he had. So not much of a choice there. I just picked it up yesterday. As far as the subwoofer goes a friend of mine said he will give me a klipsch SW-350 subwoofer.

Hello Everyone! Im excited to say i just got my hands on some nice equipment for my new house! Ive always read about klipsch and always wants to own a couple speakers for myself but never actually had the chance to buy them. Now im a proud owner of - 2x Klipsch RF-82 II Floor 2x Klipsch RS-52 II Surround 1x Klipsch RC-52 II Center This is really my first time building a system and now that i have speakers i need to get a A/V receiver. i have been looking at two models Yamaha RX-A870 or Onkyo TX-RZ610. Any suggestions i would be grateful for. I really enjoy listening to music with a wide variety of music anywhere from relaxing jazz, acoustics all the way to Metallica. My wife and i also watch movies! I am willing to go a little more if its worth it! Thank you! I will also be posting pics once i set things up if anyone would like to see!
