Can someone help me understand how sliding the control pod backwards fixes the problem? It doesn't for me, but I'm still curious. You're just sliding the little nub on the control pod into the groove of the speaker. There's no metal coming in contact anywhere and it doesn't even need to be on/under to the speaker to work.

This is a massive necropost, but I have this exact same problem and I couldn't find a newer thread about it. None of the suggested fixes in this thread have helped me.
