  1. I finally was able to crank up my ssystem since my girlfriend was gone most of the afternoon on sunday, and yes indeeed it does have to line inputs and it does have a volume knob and a cross over knob and while my system sounds kick *** with those little ksb 1.1 speakers i just need to get the su b a little louder, i know its capable frmo my last system which didnt even come close to sounding this good and the speakers are exactly the same, granted the room is twice as small but........ belive me they sound nice and clean and detailed !! so u think i should turn the hertz knob all the way up? and the volume knob say ? half way or so ? thanks for the info guys Rd
  2. First Yes the one cable from the LFE on the H/K to the input on the sub is correct. Second the 0-180 switch is for putting the sub out of phase, it's just whatever sounds better to you, it would help to have a friend flip the switch while your sitting to be able to really here the difference. I'd set all your speaks to small on the H/K and set the sub close to where the cut-off is on the H/K when set to small. Thanks for the FYI, I'm still looking at the manual it's preety intense for a rookie such as me not sure what u mean by cutoff tho ? right now i haev the fronts center and surrounds set to small and the sub x over set at 100 and not sure what u mean about LFE yet as im still reading the manual i have the sub put into where it says sub pre out, i have 2 pairs of the klipsch ksb 1.1 as fronts and surrounds and a old jbl as center trying to buy a klipsch ksc-1, my budget is preety lean right now but seeing them on and off ebay and ubid fairly cheap like 100ish thanks again for the info ! Rd O ps i have a set of new wharfedale emerald 97's think my system woudl sound better using those as fronts instead of the ksb 1.1 ?
  3. I have a klipsch sub not sure what model i bought it at a soundtrack about 4yrs ago with 4 ksb1.1 as surounds and i think it's a 8in sub but sounds nice to me, anyhoo i just upgraded to 5.1 finaly with a harmon kardon avr 310 and so far so good but iw as curious subs are mono yes ? so that means i just need one rca type cable going to the Red in ?? from the sub pre out in back of my harmon kardon yes ? it's a radio shack gold cable, my main question is only choice i have is auto or off and 0 degree or 180 what does that do ? if i switch it to auto will any signal turn it on and keep it on ? i have the sub set to anything below 100 should it be set lower on my harmon kardon ? also i have it set to 6 on volume and 60hz for sub setting, any help would be great to this rookie audiophile Rd
