  1. Hi Sounddog... there is an almost imperceptible red dot almost at the face of the tweeter on one side. Is that what I'm looking for? ------------------ Wayneman
  2. Hi... I have a set of La Scala's that I had given to me recently. The original owner also used them as the PA for his band, and had taken out the original tweeters and put in some $10 Radio Shack tweeters to keep from blowing them. He gave me the original tweeters (wrapped / boxed neatly) to reinstall. He's gone now and I can't consult him, so I need some help... The original tweeters have two hook-up terminals on either side of the tweeter. Both accomodate 2 "slide on" connector ends. Both have solder in the middle so I assume one "side" of the tweeter is "+" and the other is "-" (as opposed to the + / - coming from the same side of the terminal from the different connectors). They're not marked at all... how do I tell? Buy a multi-meter and check somehow? Does it make a difference as long as I keep the + / - straight on the output? Thanks in advance... been dying to hook these up (I already have RF-3 II's... love 'em) ------------------ Wayneman
  3. Be Gentle... new at this... Pieced together a system for first time. Wound up with Hafler DH-120 amp (60W/ch @ 8ohms)/ Audionics BT2 preamp / Rotel RCD 950 CD player / Klipsch RF 3 II speakers. Everything used but the Rotel and the Klipsch. Bought another Hafler DH-120 (used) and I'd like to strap the system in mono. I don't know how to wire it though. Guess: 1) Run second set of outputs from preamp to other amp. 2) Run second set of speaker cables from 2nd amp to bottom posts of RF3IIs (same as top ones... red to red / black to black etc). 3) Flip the "Bridged Mono" switches on both amps. Before I attempt this intuitive set-up, I'd like to verify it before I blow everything that I've just bought. Read a lot of posts on this BB, and it looks like I've come to the right place for advice. Thanks in advance! ------------------ Wayneman
