I just got some KG 3.5's from Magnolia Hi-fi (big in Washington state). They were supposedly 'new' but discontinued. I did my research and found that production ended in 97, but bought them anyway because I felt they were a good deal ($340). I love the way they sound, but I noticed a few quality control issues with them. The screws holding the woofer in place were crooked, and the bezel was not on straight either. I went to Magnolia and the salesman let me return them for another pair. We opened four boxes and 2 of those also had quality issues. I took the best two of the bunch, but I have to wonder if I purchased 'rejects'? Does anyone know where these come from, considering they were last mfg. in 97? confused in WA.
