I bought a pair of industrial lascalas in the summer and I have started refinishing them. Serial numbers are 8532636 and *****37 , I’m thinking early 80’s. One tweeter appears original but the other which looks identical doesn’t have klipsch branding or numbers on the back. The same goes for the woofer, one original the other not. AL crossovers are being replaced with Bob Crites AL-3 and will Duratex the cabs as well. My questions are 1) is there a way to trace the serial #’s to get the manufacture date? 2) Should I try to match the original tweeter and 3) should I try to match the woofer or upgrade to something else (15”) ?
