  1. That's kind of what I am thinking, putting the 5800's on the rear wall. Obviously not ideal, but probably my best option. Maybe down the road I can put RP-250S as side speakers. At least they would be pointing towards the couch. Are there any in wall directional speakers? Closest speaker I can find is R-5650-S II.
  2. Hi Klipsch Community, I am in the process of building out my basement theater. So far I have 2 towers, RP-8000, a center channel RP-504C, and Klipsch R-115SW sub.(Blue boxes in the image below). It's being run by a Marantz SR7012 (9.2). My goal is to eventually get to a dolby atmos setup. Unfortunately I do not have a dedicated theatre, so my basement shape is not conducive to a true Dolby Atmos setup. I just picked up two in wall speakers R-5800W (my wife does not want more towers or large speakers on the wall). I also have four Polk RC80i for Atmos I'm installing this weekend (Yellow triangles). My question is where to install the R-5800W. In the attached image, I have two options for a 5.1.4 setup. The first option for the R-5800W is on the side located in red. These are not directly next to the couch. Unfortunately, the couch is 3-4ft behind this speaker location. The other option is directly behind the couch as true rear speakers in green. Thanks for the feedback. BB
  3. I have about 3 feet from the couch to the wall. I'm thinking now about putting in two in wall Klispch rear speakers. I'm thinking about the Klipsch R-5650-S II...
  4. I currently have 2 RP-8000F speakers for LR and the RP-504C for my center. I also have the R-115W delivering sometime this week. My room size is 16x17x8. Based on my couch configuration, there is a 3 1/2 ft walk way behind my couch. I am struggling to determine what to use as my rear surround speakers. I would need to wall mount the speakers due to young kids and the pathway behind the couch. Unfortunately, my fear is book shelf speakers would hang out to far. I was leaning towards either the RP-500SA or the RP-402s as my rear speakers. I would have to mount these at least 5-6ft off the ground. Any advise would be great. Bryan
  5. Good morning, I'm in the process of building out my basement theater room. The room dimensions are 17 x 18 x 7 1/2. We have a couch that sits 12 feet back from the projection screen. I have a Marantz SR7012 as my receiver. Currently, I do not own any speakers. I would like to slowly build out my speakers over the next couple months but want to start with LCR speakers. Here is what I am thinking so far (Budget in Mind) RP-500C paired with 2 RP-250F's. I may have to get the RP-5000F due to availability. Either way, would this be a good choice. I have read on multiple forums the Reference Premier line is the way to go. Eventually, I will build out my 5.1.4 system. B
