  1. I figured it out actually. The plastic piece across the back has a crack in it. Any idea how I'd return this to amazon if I still have the box but threw away the Styrofoam? lol
  2. Just bought and installed a new Klipsch Bar 48. Fairly disappointed in the build quality thus far. The body must be constructed in 2 pieces, because it noticeably sags in the middle of the bar (I have it wall mounted). I can put pressure upwards on the bar and it will go back to a straight shape, but sags as soon as I release pressure. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this? I now wish I had gone with another product or just laid the bar on top of my media console. I was also disappointed with the wall mount brackets in the first place, as I had to rig up a thick layer of rubber pads to keep the soundbar from pointing down towards the floor.
  3. Sounds like ideally you should try the 502s pair mounted on the wall as the above posters suggested. It certainly LOOKs like it will fit based upon the pictures you posted, and also I believe it would sound the best. Otherwise, I'd probably keep the configuration you had previously and use bookshelf speakers angled 45 degrees from the side walls towards the center position. The bookshelves would have the advantage of being better suited to dolby atmos / dts:x formats due to their non-dispersed sound.
  4. Does anyone have an opinion about dipoles vs direct firing for atmos surround?
  5. Hey guys, I'll be moving into a new house soon and looking to set up a nice surround system with my TV. I've currently got two RP-280F towers up front and a RP-450C center channel, and I have the klipsch RP-140sa speakers sitting on top of the front towers. I have an old subwoofer and don't really need advice in regards to upgrading that. Questions are as follows: I'd like to replace my current awful surrounds with nicer Klipsch models. I wasn't sure which (side) surrounds are best for atmos? I've heard dipoles aren't great for atmos because the directionality isn't good for atmos calibration? Is that true in your experience? If I go for a 7.1.2 configuration, should I just do bookshelf speakers for the Surrounds and Surround backs, or should I go with dipoles? I also am not sure yet how I'm going to set up the surrounds (wall-mount vs stand) due to awkward room layout (an L-Shape), but the surround backs should be no problem. Any suggestions here? I think the RP-600s are not wall-mountable, but perhaps the reference series bookshelf speakers would be.
