  1. I use Powerdvd XP. And nothing else is connected to the DD-5.1.
  2. I have a DD5.1 hooked up to my PM4.1s. When I play DVDs through the coaxial input from either my Game Theater XP or from my Hollywood Plus, the volume is really low. I basically have to turn the volume all the way up on both the DD5.1 and my speakers to hear the dialogue. I'm using the proper coaxial cable. Is my DD5.1 defective or is that normal?
  3. So would I be able to get 4 speaker sound from my mp3s, and also through 2 channel sources (CD player, etc)?
  4. I have the Promedia 4.1s, and a SBLive 5.1. I would like to be able to hook up my PS2, my CD player (so I could listen to music without the hum of my computer in the background), my Hollywood Plus (which has a SPDIF out) and in the future, and standalone DVD player. I want to be able to have 5.1 decoding on all these things. I was thinking about getting the DD-5.1 and a Game Theater XP. My SBLive 5.1 has given me too many problems with stability, poping, etc, so I want a new sound card. I would be connecting the Hollywood Plus and the PS2 to the Coaxial and Optical SPDIF inputs in the GTXP, and connecting the GTXP to the DD-5.1 through coaxial SPDIF. If I got the DD-5.1 and the GTXP, would I be able to play mp3s and other windows sounds through all 4 speakers? If I use a 2 channel analog input (ie, my cd player) would I get 4 channel sound? Does this sound like what I need or is it overkill? Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.
