Just purchased a pair of Reference RP-280F but the user manual is very vague. It appears to show a removable panel on the bottom of the speaker but the speaker doesn't have a removable panel. It also indicates that spikes (provided with the speaker) may be used on carpeted floors but there aren't any threaded inserts to use with the spikes. Am I supposed to drill into the bottom of the speaker?
