After reading countless threads, I'm both saddened and relieved to know I'm not the only one having an issue with my M40's. I purchased mine while deployed to Afghanistan and love the sound but as everyone else has stated the ear pads that Klipsch used on the M40's is absolute crap. I tried multiple times to find an adequate replacement since Klipsch doesnt seem to care about M40 owners and just wants to push out new products without honoring their older ones. Since I was unable to obtain a satisfactory response from Klipsch HQ or the many customer service specialists I was put in touch with, I decided to detach myself from Klipsch and their products. I have since purchased various Bowers & Wilkins headphones and the one time I contacted customer service my problem was resolved before I ever got off the phone with them, to include the confirmation email showing that my new part was on its way.
