  1. Thank you again. So the guy with the LaScalas is very difficult to deal with. I ask him questions and he is very hesitant to reply. He won't even give me the SN so that I can determine the age, etc. The guy with the Cornwalls listed them here as well I noticed! He is firm on the price. I guess that I will keep looking. Thank you again.
  2. You have the originals? Would I need to update them at all? They are pretty huge, correct?
  3. The gentleman with the Cornwalls has responded, "Everything is original from when I purchased these speakers. The back was never taken off since new. I am staying pretty firm on the price."
  4. Thank you everyone, very much! I send the guy with the LS a message, but I was messaging him yesterday about his Heresy speakers and he did not want to say much. He is one of theose, "come and see them" types. I will see what the Cornwall gentleman has to say. I just want to get something straight though. The size of my room should matter from what I gather. Will the age of these speakers become a factor? If I go and look at these, other than the obvious things, what should I look for? Thank you again. You are all very generous with your time and knowledge!
  5. The speakers go on the 11' wall. I will see what info I can gather from this guy. If he is the original owner, he should know everything! I like the raw wood, but I really love the dark walnut rub. I have done many wood projects, so it would be NP.
  6. I will do that. Thank you. But do you think that these are still too expensive? Will they work in my room or should I look for a newer model?
  7. @Heritage_Head Thank you for your reply. I am looking at Klipsch because after owning some relatively inefficient speakers (86 dB) and taking it in the shorts on finding adequate amp(s) for them, I want some high efficiency speakers. I am looking at Klipsch and Zu. The Cornwalls came up locally which is why I am inquiring about them. I am mostly concerned with which model would work best in my room. I don't know if I can post a direct link, but here it is https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/ele/d/barrington-klipsch-cornwall-raw-birch/6921429089.html Thank you for taking the time to have a look and comment.
  8. Wow. Thank you for all of the advice so far. I sincerely appreciate it.
  9. Hello, I am changing my entire setup. I am stronly considering Klipsch speakers. My room is 16x11 with 9' ceilings. I have found some Cornwall 1s in like new condition. Asking price is 1500, is this too high? Are they too big for my room? Which speakers would work best in my room? Should I be looking for series III instead of I or II? Thank you for your advice!
