  1. I've got a 6.1 system and the rear surround speaker buzzes when the receiver is turned off, not always but a good deal of the time. The speaker is a klipsch SC-1 (yes a center channel speaker, no one would sell me just one surround speaker, only pairs so I got this. It's hooked to the receiver via 30' of kimber 4PR,14 gauge wire. Doesn't seem to matter wether other appliances in the room are turned on or not, anyone know what's going on?
  2. Thanks for the advice, I probably will pass on these and put the moola towards some kick-*** rock and roll, vinyl of course, although CDs are good for the highway, rock on brothers..
  3. I'm sorry if my initial question was unclear. I meant that one attaches these vibration absorbers to the back of the cabinet of floor standing speakers. I guess the idea is to reduce cabinet vibrations thereby making for better sound, especially bass. Anybody had experience with these suckers, good or bad?
  4. Has anybody heard of sonic vibration absorbers? They are made by a company called Tekna and you attach 2 to the backs of each speaker (floor standing). The biggestest adavantage is supposed to be reduced bass muddiness. I have a pair of RF-3's which I'm not able to move around much (space limitations) to get the best sound out of these speakers. They are available by mail order from Acoustic Solutions for $200+.
  5. I have a pair of RF-3's (not the newer ones with monster cable wiring) which are very impressive compared to my old Koss bookshelf speakers. My question is would it be worth it to rewire the insides with something of better quality? One reputable high-end dealer in my area offered to do it for $50/speaker, another said it would be a waste plus negate Klipsch's 5 year warrenty. Any thoughts/ideas out there? Ilisten mostly to loud rock 'n' roll on vinyl & tape. MMF5 turntable JVC tapedeck/TV Samsung DVD/CD player - N501 Integra DTS7.1 receiver Monster 3600 power center Panasonic VCR Kimber Kables
