  1. I'm thinking of upgrading my speakers, (Forte II). Any ideas on what Klipsh would match well with my McIntosh preamp and amp?
  2. Need some information concerning noise coming from phono output at high volume. More pronounced between cuts and after stylus has left grooved portion of record. Reminds me of 60 cycle hum. New Shure V15VxMR mounted on a Denon DP-37F turntable powered by McIntosh C2200 preamp and MC352 power amp. Thanks.
  3. I've had time to listen to my system now for 3 weeks and the sound is as open and spacious as I could hope for. The Shure V15is even better sounding than I expected. I'm hearing sounds from Coltrane's sax that are almost "spooky".
  4. Decided on Shure V15VxMR. The Clearaudio was too heavy for my turntable(Denon DP-37F), hope to install today. I had no idea my Forte II's could sound so alive. Bob Dylan's "Blonde on Blonde"(SACD) is increadable. Love my McIntosh.
  5. Thought I would let everyone know how great this system is. The sound stage is unbeliveable. I've never heard a home system sound this good. Question.... need advice on a new phono pickup. Thinking about Clearaudio or Shure for my Denon DP-37F. Thanks.
  6. Thanks for all the replys. Set up my new rack tonight, all I need now is the real stuff to be shipped: MC352 amp and C2200 tube pre-amp. It's costing a small fortune, but I can't wait to hear the Forte's deliver.
  7. Building new system around my Forte II's. Anyone have experience with Klipsch paired with McIntosh (tube pre-amp, solid state amp).
