  1. Me either, but I wanted to keep with the Klipsch line and was happy with the sound and performance of my old KSW 12, lasted for over 9 years without an issue. Now I need to dial in the RW12D!

  2. Hey guys, I just got my RW12D in the mail yesterday, the manual leaves a lot to be desired, I want to tune the sub for the most impact for action movies. What do you guys have your setting at, hope you don't mind if I copy you. The rest of my HT is RB51s, RC52, and RS52s for a 5.1, thanks in advance, should also point out that music is not important as compared to action movies for how I want the sub set up. But it does have diffent modes also...... I would also appreciate your "music" setting, I'm a greedy bastard. Listen from the Beatles to Radiohead for music type. Thanks

  3. Thanks for the suggestions! I will look into that one sub you mentioned. I was very happy with the performance of the KSW-12, is it my understanding that the numbers of the RW10D are better than the KSW 12 even though it used a 10" woofer instead of a 12"? One thing I do like about the RW10D is having a "night" mode so wife dosen't start yelling that I'm "rocking" the whole house when she is trying to put the kids to sleep!

  4. Well all arrows point to my KSW 12 being dead or too expensive to repair. All in all I still am a Klipsch fan and support the product, I have to the rest of my surround system is Klipsch. ;) Anyways how would the Klipsch RW10D fair as a replacement for my KSW 12? On paper it looks to be even more powerful than the 12" woofer..... any comments?

  5. I got the number and bought the fuses. Sadly as soon as I replace the fuse and plug the sub in it make a hum noise and blows the fuse within a second or two. Any ideas what could be wrong???

Edit- I took the panel off to inspect everything, no burn marks everything looks brand new. All my research shows people with this issue but no one has posted solutions. I really don't want to send it off and pay 160 dollars to be repaired.

  6. My 8 year old KSW 12 finally died on me, I think. I'm not getting any sound out of it at all, and even the LED red light is not on. I pulled the fuse and it dosen't look fried, I checked the outlet and it is giving power. Even if it's the cable or the AVR shouldn't I still get the red LED light on? Any ideas? Thanks

  7. +1 on the Miniwax wip on poly, love the stuff. Use the semi, the gloss is well.. too glossy. I wouldn't use anything on the cane grill though, by now they are probably kinda fragile and any varnish will take any of the elasticity out of them and make them more easy to damage. I love cane grills, I have an old Philco HiFi cabinet my parents gave me with cane grills and it looks awesome, sadly I don't have room for it anymore. :(

  8. I can get a pair for 300 bucks and round out my RB-51s and RC-52. I'm currently using Synergy SS-.5s for my rears now. If you guys think this is a red hot deal than I don't mind spending the money even though I have kinda spent more than I should already on the Home theater thing. I'm concentrating on just gettin the best 5.1 system I can without compromising to add 2 more speakers for a 7.1 system, am I right in thinking this?

  9. Thanks I do like the new style of the rears but will have to measure to see if I have clearence. This will be for a 5.1 set up otherwise I could use the RB-51s for the back, didn't think of that, and get some RB-61s for the front. Still lookin for some cheaper used RB-61s for the front, they can be banged up because they will be inclosed, wish I would of thought this out better before going ebay crazy.
