  1. Actually, the paper batting is already starting to deteriorate. Dog hair and urine must be pretty acidic. After examining the blown woofer, I noticed the lower screws and flange were rusting. Also, the wires to the magnet were completely seperated. So now I have this image of a dog lifting his leg to pee on the woofer as Jimi Hendrix is jamming and getting a pretty spectacular surprise. Is the batting available? I'm pretty sure it's the source of the smell. Thanks in advance. ------------------ If it don't rust or glow, I don't trust it!
  2. Ok, so I got my '74 Cornwalls for $20 at an estate sale and now I want them to be perfect. After opening the one damaged speaker (ie. needs a voofer) I found 4 cents, which technically means I paid $19.96 for a pair of Cornwalls, a dead spider with a smile on his face, 3 round things that I truly hope are old peanuts, and about a handful of old dog hair. Ok, I'm not sure the age of the dog but the hair itself is really smelly. So I have a few questions... 1)How to remove the smell of old dog from the interior baffling/material 2) How to reglue the buckled ply INSIDE the port. 3) Where to find Black lacquer to match the finish. 4) What to do with 4 cents? Thanks in advance. ------------------ If it don't rust or glow, I don't trust it!
  3. I've alway put off buying Klipsch cause I heard they were so expensive, but I just bought a pair of Cornwalls at an estate sale for $20 so they must have come down some. Anyway, one of the woofers needs to be replaced. I have been told they are 1964 vintage. Where do I go...what do I do...how can I go on with only one woofer...? I also need to do a little cosmetic repair. They are black "designer" models with some seperated and missing plys on the edges. Any ideas? ------------------ If it don't rust or glow, I don't trust it!
