My dream is also a 12" Ortofon. The cartridge is SPU G/T from 60s. I was lucky enough to get a NOS one from a new seller on eBay for cheap. I got the SPU G/T based on Allan Songer's recommendation and never regretted it. It has a full bodied sound with a mid range to die for.
What you see mounted in the picture is a Denon DL-103D. I am using it with Cinemag transformers. Denon is not even close to Ortofon but it's ok for casual listening. I have a single Jorgen Schou transformer and I've been looking for another one for years. If and when I find another, I will remove the internal transformer on Ortofon SPU G/T and use it with JS transformers.
Thanks for the mat recommendation. I've been meaning to get one. I will also need to get a spacer to raise the tonearm.

How about a Jub pic : ) ?
Here is one taken a few months ago. I am using QSC PLX for the LF and SETH for the HF sections now.

I love my Jubilees. I ordered TAD 4002s for them . I also intend to build grills for the bass bins and 402s. Once everything is in place I will take some pictures and write a review.

Make sure you get the beryllium diaphragms.
Here is a completed eBay auction I had bookmarked. Would these have the beryllium diaphragms or would that cost extra?

One more... anyone know where I can get a pair of TAD 4002's ?? Every now and then I see them on eBay but I wonder about buying them from there...
I've been looking for a pair of TAD 4002s myself for a long time. I saw them on eBay for as low as $2550. Now the price went up a little more.
Roy has a contach who can get them for a little cheapter, but he needs to get several people interested as he orders them in 10 pairs I think. There is also a long lead time. I posted a while ago on the forum to see if anybody else was interested in 4002s so that we could order them together but did not get any response.

Here is an old thread about tonearm wiring. Unfortunately all the useful links in that thread are dead now.
I rewired my SME3012 with 33ga cardas tonearm wire. I cannot say it is an easy job. The most difficult part for me was soldering the thin wire onto the three spring loaded pins in the front end of the tonearm. Too much heat could melt the plastic housing and/or damage the springs.

Thank you for the suggestion.Replace the cooling fan with a low flow Panaflow from Digikey. About $20. It did it when I had K Horns. I now sit about 3 feet from my 1202 evey day for 8 hours in my office and it is silent.

I just received my QSC PLX 1202 and it sounds very good. I have a question though, does the fan stay on all the time?

That's an amazing find. I've been looking for a 301 for a long while, and if it was me I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face when I saw it.

The TADs helped me to reduce the complexity of my networks and speakers and so now I am simply in a 2-way system with passive networks.
Mark, Jub bins with TAD 4002+K402 and simple passive networks look very appealing to me. Please keep me in mind if you see any 4002s for sale.
