  1. Thank you all for the info. Things are as I suspected. I must have sufferred from impaired hearing before my move. Things sound just great now. Why would one want to do bi-wiring? What benefits does it provide over using straps?
  2. I have an SC1 center speaker and am really pleased with it. Recently I moved house and since then, seem to be having trouble getting the connections set correctly. My amp, as Denon 2801, has a pair of center channel outputs, one red and the other, yes, black. The SC1 speaker has two sets of input terminals. The black terminals are connected together with a strap that was supplied from Klipsch. Before my move, I had the amp wires connected to the top two terminals and all seemed well. However since I moved, only the horn gives output with this connection configuration. If I move the wires to the bottom two speaker terminals, the two cones give output but the horn is dead. To fix this problem, I have added a second strap to connect the two red terminals together and of course I now get all speakers giving output. I am pretty sure I didn't change anything in the move and there was no second strap, so why do I now need one? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Laurence
