  1. thanks for the advice. i'll probably get the z-560s for me,have the klipsch repaired and give em to my niece.i appreciate the info
  2. Ok,I know my warranty is long gone. My "new" pod is over a year old.It got rid of that dang static from the original. Anyhow since my 4.1s went kaput , I need to decide if its cheaper 2 have them repaired at a local electronic shop or get new Z-560s. The lowest i have seen NEW 560s recently were about $140us. I live in Brooklyn NY USA. If anyone knows of someplace nearby that can repair these reliably pls let me know. I dont want to wait any longer to ship to klipsch and then wait for repair and ship back. thanks 4 any info.
  3. On my 4.1 sub, the fuse is inside the rear of the sub.You can't get to it from the outside. As trespasser_guy said, this will **VOID** your warranty if u open it.
  4. thanks for the help everyone, but i think they are shot. nothing has worked so far.
  5. Great, I never thought about unplugging anything other than power cord to switch around on the strip. I just made sure everthing was still plugged in. As for the warranty, I got these speakers when they came out. It was most probably within a couple of months, if not weeks of their release. I cant remember exactly when unfortunately. I'm going to have to check with my sister, they were a present from her. If the unplugging doesnt do the trick, and warranty is no good, then I'll let you know what the inside looks like :-)). If warranty is still good then I'll be talking to Klipsch. I at work now,I'll try the suggestions later tonight. thanks.
  6. thanks for the quick reply.maybe i have a different model than you guys n gals with fuses on the back. My sub looks like this one. I guess I got to open it,eh
  7. Ok,Ive had these 4.1's when they first came out,got them from Klipsch directly. They have served me well. At some point I upgraded the pod and even purchased the wall mounts. I love these speakers. However while watching the Allstar game today, the speakers made a strange pfft like sound, the light went off and now I dont get any sound or anything. I just spent 7 innings trying to see whats wrong.I wasnt using them at the time either. I searched the forum and saw something about a fuse.where is this fuse located(praying that is the problem)? Any help appeciated, thanks.
