Sub won't turn off when A/V receiver is turned off?

I had the same problem. To solve the problem; I bought a high quality Subwoofer cable. (Very important) I plugged in my Subwoofer to a separate outlet other than my other appliances. Set Gain and Hz to medium range values. Now my Sub works fine, green light going on and off properly, just as described in the User’s Manual.
