I was hoping someone could tell me what the two torx screws (placed about 1.5” apart) on back panel of SPL 100 are for?

Recently I hooked up an SPL 100 sub to my “Sixes” sub out jack and once in awhile I get a low hum that increases in volume until I unplug the RCA cable. This doesn’t happen constantly but periodically. I just noticed that this can happen even when the Sixes are powered off. Can anyone offer me some suggestions?
