I have the earlier ProMedia System for my desk/pc. The metal 6 pin DIN was damaged and I only need the tiny metal 6-pin piece that came out of the end of cable. The piece that inserts into the preamp. Will a 6-pin extension cable work? Shouldn't that replace the piece that I damaged? In my mind it does, just want to make sure before I buy. THANK IN ADVANCE! :)
