Hello,
I am a neophyte when it comes to hooking up my system. I received my new ksw-12 sub yesterday and am having trouble figuring out the best settings. Placement is not a problem. I am unsure of the best connection to use (speaker wire vs LFE), level setting, crossover frequency, receiver settings etc.
My system is as follows:
Pioneer VSX-D710S Receiver
Klipsch SF-1 Tower Front speakers
Klipsch SC1 Center Channel
Bose 301 Bookshelf surrounds
Hitachi 53 inch widescreen rear projection TV
JVC XV-S500BK Progressive Scan DVD player
Currently, I have the speakers all hooked up directly to the receiver. The sub is hooked up to the subwoofer out on the receiver via the white RCA jack on the back of the sub. Receiver settings are as follows: I have fronts as LARGE and center and surrounds as SMALL, crossover freq. is 150 Hz., LFE attenuator setting 0dB, Low cut filter OFF.
On the back of the sub, I have: level at 10, Phase at 0, Power Auto, Crossover 100Hz
My main use is for home theatre with occasional music. The current sound is ok but I fear it is not optimal. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
