  1. Which receiver is better? Has anyone had any luck with either receiver?
  2. I'm thinking about getting the Pioneer Elite VSX-41 AV Receiver. I keep getting different quotes on the wattage the receiver has. Some people say 110x6, some say 100x6, and 80x6. Has anyone bought this receiver? What is the true rating? Is this receiver even worth getting? I will be using klipsch or jbl speakers. Any help would be appreciated. James
  3. Thanks all for your help. I will start looking around for some klipsch speakers. So the Denon 3802 is a good match up with klipsch speakers?
  4. My budget is like this. For a Receiver I am looking at 400-700 dollar range. For speakers combined about 600-800 dollar range. I have nothing against klipsch. I have a set of promedias for my computer and love them. I wish I could afford a good set of klipsch for my home theatre but havent seen any that I can afford.
  5. Hey, I wanted to find out what everyone thought of this setup. It is more on my budget and I wondered if it was a good setup. Has anyone had any experience with these. Receiver: Denon AVR-3802 Mains: Yamaha NS-6390 Center: Yamaha NS-AC40X Surrounds: Yamaha NS-6390 Sub: Yamaha YST-SW305
  6. Thanks everyone for your help. I was wondering why panasonic was rating there receiver at 6 ohms since most all speakers are 8 ohms. I knew it would cut the wattage down, but I'm not going to pay for the receiver if it cuts the wattage that much. I am looking at receivers at less than $500. I wanted to have the option of upgrading to 6.1. What do yall think about JVC receivers?? Specifically the JVC 8020 receiver. I have been looking at it too. It has the option to upgrade to 6.1 if I can find a powered back speaker. The speakers I wanted were the JBL Northridge Series. Those were more in my price range. Has anyone had any experience with JBL speakers?
  7. I'm thinking about buying a Panasonic SA-HE200K A/V Receiver 130wX6. I know it isn't as good as a Denon or Yamaha receiver but it is all I can afford. I saw that the amp in it is rated at 6 ohms and the speakers I want are rated at 8 ohms. I was told by panasonic that the speakers are compatible but that it would decrease the wattage of the amp. Does anyone know what the wattage will be cut down too? Is that even possible to figure out? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanx, James
