  1. Stupid question: what's WDST? Thanks to everyone for the advice... I am going to do some searching tonight. Will let you know how it turns out.
  2. That's great to hear, Craig. It sure seems to sound good to me, and I've got a friend that's sort of an "audio guy" and he says it's great as well. I just wanted to see how others felt about it, especially since you guys are pretty experienced in the audio area. Thanks, Brian
  3. I am posting this for a friend... he has the same center I have (KLF-C7), and apparently got a real deal on the JBL N-38 fronts. He wants to know if he should buy the JBLs--he swears it's such a deal that he hates to turn it down. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks, Brian
  4. Anyone familiar with the HK AVR-500 receiver? I have had it about 6 months, and like it, but I'm no audio expert. I'm wondering how it ranks with all the receivers out there. It's not a $3000 receiver, so I don't expect it to the the absolute best, but I'm hoping it's considered one of the better receiver. The sound, from a non-audiophile perspective, sounds very good. In addition, what are the opinions about how it sounds with the KLF-30 and KLF-C7 speakers? I think it's great, but I'm thinking it may be a little underpowered for these monster speakers. Thanks for any and all info... -Brian
  5. To be honest, I can't imagine springing for more KLF-30 towers. So expensive! I love 'em up front, but for something that only has occasional sound like the rears I want to get by with something less expensive. I'm trying to locate the S6 surrounds, but they're few and far between. Klipsch support recommended the Reference line of speakers for my surrounds. I think the model was something like RF3-II and RF-7 (might be a letter off, but you guys will probably know what model I'm talking about.)
  6. Hi, Boa12. Thanks for the welcome! I am using a Harman Kardon AVR-500 receiver. (Is that good or bad? ) I'm guessing at room dimensions, but I'd guess about 21 foot wide and maybe 30 foot long. I also need a sub below $500... I'm thinking maybe the KSW-12...
  7. Hello. I'm trying to find surround speakers that match my KLF-30 and KLF-C7 speakers. Can anyone suggest rear surrounds? I'd prefer to stay in the Klipsch line, and I really the idea of those "dispersion" speakers that send sound around in a radius. If I sound like a newbie, it's because I am. I really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Brian
