  1. Thanks so much for everyone being so attentive to my problem. I'm going to go ahead and investigate getting my speakers repaired. Thanks again! This message has been edited by TheCleaner on 09-11-2002 at 10:17 AM
  2. Yep.. I have Promedia 4.1 speakers. I live in the Indy area, I'm wondering if it would be possible to just drop these things off and get them fixed. Of course I'm wondering what is the worst case situation cost wise.
  3. Thanks for all your replys. I'm not certain if it is a V2-400, or a revised 4.1 system. Its a promedia 4.1 thx setup if that helps. I just unplugged the audio wire from the laptop and get the same amount of static through the speakers. It seems that if I leave it on, over time it gets somewhat better. Although I love(d) the sound quality of these speakers, from all the posts that I have read, these speakers have problems and I'm not the only one having them. The fact that they are pushing the refurb 4.1 systems is evidence of many returns. I'm disgusted that $300 only lasts for a year these days. I bought these speakers with the intention of having them for the remaining life of this laptop. I mean, thats why I paid a premium price right? 4. Well my 4.1 THX Klipsch speakers were a dream for a while. One day I turned on my system and was greeted with constant loud static. I've since re-connected the wires, relocated the whole unit.. nothing helps. Any suggestions?
