Hey, I have a tip to make your Promedia's last, maybe... I purchased my promedia 2.400 in Dec '99. When the V2 preamp camy out I purchased that and I've nerver/ever had an issue untill the foam surrounds gave out in the last week. I'm an avid gamer and listen to hare rock/heavy metal and have not babied my system not abused it either. I "believe" the key to my systems longgevity is I've always had the power source connected to a additional power strip wheic I turn off when powering off my system down for the night so there is no current to the componets when the system is off. Just t thought I'd throw that out there. How suppot gets back to me quick about my foam surrond issue. **** luck guys.

Hello Everyone, Just wanted to stop by because it has been awhile. I purchased my speaker system 12/2000 and still am problem free. I did upgrade the preamp when came out. Had to return that once but had my original as a spare and no problems since. I use on my gaming pc 4-8hrs a day for that time and I'm still very happy with the way they sound. Rock On!!!

Why Doesn't someone from "Klipsch" reply?????????? I get serious volume drop, and front ch. on one system is almost non-existent. I'm no expert as I said before but, Isn't this an indicator of an impendence issue?? Hello everyone, Had my v2-400's for 2-1/2 yrs. and never a problem once, "Thank ye god's" I have 2 questions,(I have an upgraded pre-amp) 1)I want to use my v2-400's on 2 systems, 1 is my everyday cdr,dvd,email,surf the web mach. the other is my p4-1.6@2133mhz overclock'd gaming rig which is for gaming only. I had both systems hooked up using patch cords(splitters) from radio shack. 1 sys. was 4ch the other 2ch and worked fine. I have upgraded the gaming rig so now both have 4ch sound and now niether will work while having the signal split. Is this an impedence issue? I'm no electronic tech. so could someone offer a solution? Is there a 1/8 mini a/b box available? 2) What's the best way to u/g'd the speaker wire? I have the older mini plug to the sat's. I know it's not the best way, but I was thinking of cutting the plug's off with a couple of inches of wire left on the plug and soldering some 16ga.wire to the plugs. My soldering skills are not such that I would expect "4" good plugs if I were attempt to make new plug/wire setups. Reactions please.
