I'm having a problem with my Proceed D/A converter turning off during times of elevated electrical use in the house. This is most notable when the central ac is running. Can anyone recommend a power conditioner that would remedy the problem. As long as I'm making the purchase, I would also like line filtering capability from the same device.

Sorry about missing the profile. I'm running Forte (Threshold)Class A electronics through 1983 Klipschorns w/ recently added ALK crossovers. The turntable is a JVC with a 17 year old Japanese, moving coil cartridge marketed by Klipsch back in the middle 80's. The pre-amp has the ability to use either MC or MM cartridges. Does the fact that I'm considering single ended tube amps as an addition to the system make a difference in the selection of the cartridge? I'm looking for recommendations for a replacement cartridge based upon the equipment in my profile. I would prefer one in the $300 - $400 range.

Yes you can. How does $670 sound? To me it sounds like they don't want to sell them very badly.
