Greetings! I own a Rotel RA-1592MKII Integrated Amp with a phono input. I was advised that the phono stage in this Rotel is not very good so I purchased a Rega MM MK5 phono stage. I have done A/B comparisons and have not been able to hear any differences. The specs on the Rotel are phono input is 5.2mV and the Rega is 1.7 mV for 200mV output. They both have a 47k resistance on the phono input. Frequency response on the Rotel is 20Hz - 20 kHz +0.5 dB and the Rega is 15Hz (-3dB) to 100 kHz (-0.2dB). I'm not sure what other specs would be significant for comparison but any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! I should also mention that my turntable is a Rega Planar 3 with an Ortofon Bronze cartridge. Oh and of course Klipsch speakers!

I have received some great advice here so lets try another topic. I am looking to upgrade my phono stage from what's built into my Rotel RA-1592 MKII. Using a Rega P3 with an Ortofon bronze cartridge played through Cornwall IVs. I have been switching back and forth between a Rega Fono MM MK5 and an iFi Zen Phono. I am not very impressed with either although the iFi Zen is extremely quiet. I am looking for more dynamic range and bottom end. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

So much to wife's dismay, I decided to go with the Cornwall IVs. Picking them up this weekend. I did have a concern about placement of them in my room. The room is on the small side and was going to place them in corners about 10 feet apart with them slightly toed in towards listening area. How far do you think they should be from the back wall? I will also be driving them with a Rotel RA1592 MKII and was wondering if you think it would be beneficial to bi-wire these? Thanks again for your feedback!

Thanks for all your responses. I have ruled out the RF7s and am now faced with the decision of Cornwall IVs or Forte IVs. Space is not an issue so either speaker will be a fine fit. From what I have gathered so far these two are very similar sonically. Keeping in mind that I will be primarily listening to hard rock and metal, do you feel one would be better suited for those genres? Thanks again for your thoughts and opinions.

Greetings folks! Looking for some advice/suggestions. I have about 5K to put into a new pair of speakers. The RF 7 III and the Forte IV have caught my attention and was wondering if anybody has had experience listening to these speakers. Sonically, what differences can I expect? I primarily listen to classic rock, hard rock, and metal. I will be driving them with a Rotel amp. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
