  1. Hi Again, I've decided to snag a pair of Heresy ('83) models I have here at the shop I work at. I'm going to sell my trusty Mordaunt Short MS-10is to get into the Klipsch craze... I had a few questions about some simple upgrades I've been pondering. does it make any sense to remount the drivers to the front of the baffle? these heresy's have the K-77 K-52h and K-22-k. are there any replaecement or newer parts that have benefit? I here the Layne woofer is a big improvement on the bass and that the newer heresy II tweeter has better extention, can anybody comment? I plan on using these with SET tube amps. that is why I'm getting rid of the MSs. I'll probably play with the Heresys stock for a while. I just know I'll get the bug eventually. thanks in advance David
  2. Hi All, New here... I Have the opportunity to buy a pair of Heresy Loudspeakers. Can you guys tell me anything about them? Inside they have a K-77 tweeter, a K-52H squawker, a K-22-K Woofer and a TYPE E-2 "balancing network". both horns seem to be metal. The sticker on the back says Heresy, Type HBR, the serial # is: 159 Y 096. "Inspected" and "tested by" names are listed. everything is hand written on the back. the small print shows a copyright date of 1980. There are no stands or risers with them. They sound quite good. the plywood has been poorly finished an ugly "walnut" and there is some wear. they could be easily refinished and restored. does anybody know specs. for this vintage of the Heresy? are there any worthwhile mods? What should I expect to pay for these? Any help or insight will be appreciated. Regards, David
