A couple months ago an estate sale was disposing of items from an individual or a company who collected and/or repaired Hammond organs. Pile of "Leslie" speakers (as described by the auctioneer) were mostly modified Klipsch La Scala 2 piece PA speakers. Cabinets that were still intact appear to have Klipsch or Eminence drivers, horns, and tweeters, with attached (hand punched/cut/bent) simple/custom 7591 and 6V6 based amps for the upper and lower sections. Some cabinets had (very un-Klipsch-like from what I see online) 2 way crossovers but most (even those with the crossovers) appear to have been used with the tweeter unpowered or disconnected. A few of the cabinets appeared to have been powered externally with separate connections for LF/HF and used with their tweeters disconnected. Based on markings and remnants of paperwork found inside some of the organ cabinets, they and the speaker cabinets appear to have supported religious efforts here in the southeast. The amplifiers almost all have transformers and chokes identical to 1950's and early 60's (only models I'm familiar with) Hammond organ chassis. Some of the cabinets were covered with ugly upholstery fabric and some appeared to have had similarly covered front grille frames. Don't have a company name or model numbers, can't find anything similar online, but curious if there is a site somewhere with any history for these devices. Thanks, Kira
