  1. Hi, Wondering if anyone can help me. I have connected my The Three speaker to Windows 11 over USB/SPDIF. Sound works great but I am wondering if there is any way to configure it so I can advance the music to the next track by using the button (typically used for skipping tracks) on the speaker's remote control. Similar to how it works when using Bluetooth with my phone connected to the speaker. I've done a bit of research below but haven't been able to find answers so far on this for my specific setup. Thanks in advance! Controlling a music player on a PC using a speaker's remote control through a USB or SPDIF connection is typically more challenging than doing so via Bluetooth, primarily because USB and SPDIF are primarily designed for audio data transfer and don't usually support control signal transmission in the same way Bluetooth does. However, there are a few potential solutions and considerations: USB HID Support: Some speakers with USB connections might support the Human Interface Device (HID) protocol, which can send control signals (like play, pause, next, previous) to a PC. Check if your speaker has this feature and if it's compatible with your PC. Software Solutions: Look for specialized software that might interpret control signals from USB/SPDIF devices. This is less common, but some audio interfaces or digital audio workstations (DAWs) might offer this functionality. Custom Mapping Tools: If your speaker sends any signal that the PC can recognize (even if not the correct one), you could use a key mapping tool to assign these signals to control your music player. Tools like AutoHotkey or similar can be used for custom key mappings. Check Speaker Documentation: Review the documentation for your speaker to see if it mentions anything about control signals over USB/SPDIF. The manufacturer might provide specific instructions or software for this. Alternate Control Methods: Consider alternative methods to control your music playback, such as keyboard shortcuts, media keys on your keyboard, or even voice control if your setup supports it. PC Media Control Features: Some operating systems have built-in features for media control that might work with certain USB/SPDIF devices. Explore the system settings related to media and devices.
